מבוא:
איסוף נתונים לנושאים רגישים היווה מאז ומתמיד נושא למחקר הן מבחינה שיווקית ( SINGER 1984) והן מבחינה חברתית (JOHANSON AND DELAMATER 1976). נמצא במחקרים אלו כי קיים קושי לקבל תשובות משקפות מן הצרכנים, נמצאו הטיות בתשובות לשאלות בנושאים אינטימיים, נושאים אישיים, התנהגות מינית, שימוש בסמים, רמת שכר, עבר פלילי ונושאי מס הכנסה ועוד.
צורת הראיון והכנת השאלון, האוכלוסייה ואופן הדגימה, המראיינים, המרואיינים, מהלך הראיון ועוד - כל אלו משפיעים באופן ישיר על הסקר. ישנם יתרונות וחסרונות רבים לכל אחד מסוגי הסקרים. בסקר "פנים אל פנים" ניתן להסביר שאלות מורכבות למרואיין, ניתן להציג בפניו אביזרים אם צריך ואילו בסקר טלפוני המרואיין מרגיש נינוח ואנונימי יותר.

מטרת העבודה:
מחקרים רבים נעשו בנושא השוואה בין "סקר פנים אל פנים" לבין סקר טלפוני לגבי נושאים רגישים, כגון: סמים, אלכוהול, מין, בריאות וכו'. נושאים רגישים הנם "בעייתיים" מפני שקיימים בהם ספקות רבים לגבי איכות ומהימנות הנתונים הנאספים. משמע, לא ניתן לדעת איזו תשובה קיבלנו מן המרואיין, האם תשובה הנובעת ממבוכה, קונפרמיסטיות או כל סיבה אחרת.
קשה יהיה לקבוע כי איכות הנתונים תהיה זהה בשני סוגי הסקר כאשר מדובר בנושא רגיש.
סוג הראיון יכול להשפיע על איכות הנתונים מפני שבראיון אישי, לדוגמא, קל יהיה למרואיינים לענות על שאלות מורכבות יותר מאשר אלו שענו לסקר הנערך דרך הטלפון, אך יתכן כי יתביישו לענות על שאלות אישיות או להפך יספקו יותר פרטים וזה נובע מאינטראקציה חיובית או שלילית עם מראיין. מכאן שתיתכן פגיעה בתקפות הפנימית של המחקר זו תנבע מספקות לגבי איכות הנתונים הנאספים בשני סוגי הסקר ואם איכות הנתונים מוטלת בספק כמובן נפגעת יכולת ההכללה - לא ניתן יהיה להכליל את הממצאים על כלל האוכלוסייה.

בעבודה זו אנסה לחקור את בעיות אלו. הסקר שלי הנו סקר עמדות בנושא רגיש:
הסקר עוסק בעמדת הילדים בבתי הספר היסודיים כלפי קריאה והקשר בין משתנים דמוגרפיים: מין, מוצא, מקצוע של ההורים, רווחה כלכלית, דפוסי קריאה של ההורים, אמצעי התקשרות שונים על הרגלי הקריאה החופשית של התלמידים.

אם לא נמצא הבדל בין התוצאות מן הנתונים שנאספו בשתי השיטת הסקר נוכל להגיד כי שתי השיטות מניבים תוצאות באיכות דומה ולכן תועדף השיטה הזולה והמהירה בין השתיים. ואכן במרבית המחקרים שנעשו התשובה המועדפת היתה הנבת תוצאות באיכות דומה ( BIEMER, 1988).
