מלחמת בוסניה ומשבר קוסובו: השפעתה של התקשורת על האירועים בבלקן

תקציר העבודה:

ביוני 2001 הסגירה ממשלת יוגוסלביה את סלובודן מילוסוביץ' (Slobodan Milosevic), נשיא המדינה הקודם, לבית הדין הבינלאומי בהאג. מילוסוביץ' הואשם בפשעים נגד האנושות וברצח עם ומשפטו המתוקשר נמשך כבר כארבע שנים.
את דעתו על תפקידה של העיתונות בסיקור האירועים הביע מילוסוביץ' מיד עם הסגרתו:
"את ההתכנסות של עיתונאים מכל העולם כדי לצפות במעצר של אדם כלשהו אני רואה כשרידים של הדחף לצפות בקרבות גלדיאטורים, דחפים שסופקו באירופה במשך תקופה כה ארוכה..." .

אין הרבה ספק בנוגע לתפקידה של התקשורת ולהשפעתה על עיצוב דעת הקהל.
מטרת עבודתי היא לבחון עד כמה מרחיקת לכת הייתה השפעה זו במלחמות הבלקן, מלחמת בוסניה ומשבר קוסובו בפרט.
