ידע ועמדות כלפי מחלת האיידס

תקציר העבודה:

המחקר המתואר כאן מנסה לבדוק את הידע, הגישות והעמדות הקיימים בקרב האוכלוסייה המתבגרת לגבי נושא מחלת האיידס על היבטיה השונים. קיימת תמימות דעים מצד גורמים ברמה הניהולית\חינוכית (הים יונס, 1998), כפי שיעלה מהסקירה התיאורטית, לגבי הצורך הדחוף בחינוך למניעה בשלבים המוקדמים של ההתבגרות במסגרת החינוכית. ידוע כי בשכבות נחשלות הידע לגבי השימוש באמצעי מניעה במטרה להימנע מהידבקות במחלה מועט ביותר, ואילו ככל שהרמות ההשכלתית והסוציו-אקונומית עולות כך גם גוברת רמת המודעות לסכנות ולחשיבות בנקיטה באמצעי מניעה. לסוגי אוכלוסיות שונות התייחסות שונה לגבי המחלה עצמה, לגבי החולים וביחס לצעדים שיש לנקוט למטרות מניעה. קיימת שמרנות רבה בנושא וגם כיום, למרות הידע הרב הקיים בנושא, עדיין רבים חוסר הידע, הבערות והדעות הקדומות. מחקר זה מתכוון לבדוק את רמות ידע, האמפתיה, העמדות והיחס כלפי המחלה בקרב האוכלוסיה בכלל אולם בפרט בקרב מתבגרים ואת קיומה של האפשרות לשנות עמדות והתנהגות תוך שכנוע הנבדקים. למטרות אלו ערכתי מחקר בקרב 130 סטודנטים באוניברסיטה הפתוחה שנענו לבקשתי. במחקר זה ניתנה התייחסות לשמונה שאלות מחקר ולשמונה השערות מחקר.

הממצאים מלמדים כי רמת הידיעה והמודעות לסכנות שצופנת בחובה מחלת האיידס עדיין נמוכות יחסית בקרב מתבגרים וגם בקרב אלה שרמת ההשכלה שלהם גבוהה יחסית לגבי האחרים. מכל המחקרים עולה כי קיימת נחיצות אקוטית להגברת החינוך בנושא במסגרת תוכניות הלימודים הקבועות בבתי הספר השונים. יש מקום לעריכת מחקרים נוספים שיבדקו שינויי גישה והתנהגות בעקבות שינויים שחלו בתוכניות הלימודים.
לממצאי המחקר חשיבות יישומית מפני שהם מאפשרים למערכת החינוך ולעומדים בראשה ל"קרוא את המפה" לאשורה ולשנות את ההתיחסות לנושא בהתאם לתנאים השטח. בעקבות הממצאים, אפשר יהיה להמליץ למשרד החינוך, לרשויות, להורים ולתלמידים לנקוט בדרך פעולה הכוללת הדרכה אינטנסיבית. כמובן יש להתייחס להמלצות אלו בזהירות הנדרשת ולהמתין למחקרים נוספים בתחום, אשר יאששו את הממצאים והמסקנות הנגזרים מהמחקר הנוכחי.
